As
the first in-home system to combine ultraviolet light
technology with a patented multi-stage carbon-block filter,
the eSpring Water Purifier provides you with more than
clean, clear, delicious water. It also gives you peace of
mind knowing that no other in-home system is certified to
reduce more potential health effect contaminants than the
eSpring Water Purifier.
- Destroys
more than 99.9999% of bacteria
- Destroys
more than 99.99% of viruses
-
Effectively removes more than 99.95% of
cysts
-
Effectively removes more than 140 potential
health-effect contaminants including disinfectant
by-products, many pesticides, lead, mercury, and radon
- The first
in-home system certified to meet these three separate
international standards of water quality by NSF
International: Standard 42: Improves taste, odor, and
clarity. Standard 53: Reduces health-effect
contaminants. Standard 55: Reduces
microorganisms with
UV light
- Does not
remove beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium,
and fluoride
- Uses
exclusive patented technology
- Comes
with a two-year limited warranty on parts and labor, and
a satisfaction guarantee
The eSpring™ Water Purifier is
currently available in two models – above the counter
(right) or below the counter (left). Both are designed for
use in kitchens and offer many convenient features and
peace-of-mind benefits.

Turning on the tap activates an electro-magnetic
connection to the bulb that switches the bulb on. Because
the bulb is not on all the time, it does not waste energy,
and the water always flows cold.
Ultra-violet
(UV) light technology takes the eSpring™ Water Purifier to
the next level of in-home Water Purifiers by doing what
carbon alone cannot do: It destroys
microorganisms.
The eSpring Water Purifier’s
UV bulb, located in the center of the cartridge, puts
out up to 80 millijoules (units of measure) of
UV light – enough to destroy more than 99.99% of
bacteria and viruses that may be in drinking water.
To protect the quality of your
family’s water, the eSpring™ filter/cartridge must be
replaced once a year or every 5,000 liters (1,320 gallons),
whichever comes first. If your water contains large amounts
of
particulates, you might need to change the
filter/cartridge more often to maintain an acceptable flow
rate. The eSpring monitor has an indicator (much like a gas
gauge) showing remaining filter/cartridge life. In addition,
it lets you know exactly when to order a new
filter/cartridge and when to replace it.
It
is time to order a new filter/cartridge.
At 90% of the rated life of the filter/cartridge (based on
time or water volume that has passed through the system),
the monitor will sound an audible tone and a bar will flash
whenever water is flowing. This reminds you to order a new
filter/cartridge.
It
is time to replace the filter/cartridge.
At 100% of the rated life of the filter/cartridge, a
different audible tone sounds, and the reminder bar turns
red and flashes, telling you it is time to replace the
filter/cartridge. You will never change the filter/cartridge
prematurely or compromise your water quality by waiting too
long.
The tiny pores in the activated
carbon of the filter inside each eSpring Water Purifier are
"traps" for contaminants. Even if you do not use all 5,000
liters (1,320 gallons) of water over the course of a year,
large organic molecules in standing water around the
carbon block will begin to clog the pores in the carbon.
When that happens, smaller contaminants could slip over the
blocked pores instead of being trapped. So when you hear the
tone, change the filter/cartridge; that is the only way your
eSpring Water Purifier can bring you the high water quality
it has been tested and certified to deliver.
If your unit has a separate
UV bulb, it must be replaced every 18 months.
Replacing the
UV bulb is necessary to ensure that it is performing
with enough energy and
UV intensity to destroy optimal levels of contaminants.
